The Emerald Literary Guild is a nonprofit that nurtures the writing community of Eugene-Springfield and Lane County, Oregon.
We grew out of decades of grassroots literary life in Lane County — from the Lane Literary Guild, to the River Road Reading Series (2014–2023), to today’s free Windfall Reading Series at the Eugene Public Library. Along the way we published River Road: The Anthology, a two-volume collection of 146 local writers.
We present free public readings, put local writers in print, and create ways for writers — published or just beginning — to connect, share their work, and be heard. Read our full story →
